Drink Powder With Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine

The Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) are an important group of essential amino acids consisting of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine. The BCAA's are among the nine essential amino acids for humans, because our body can’t manufacture them. Their only source is our daily food or food supplementation. On the other hand, they account for 35% of the essential amino acids in muscle proteins. Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are indispensable amino acids provided by mixed dietary protein intakes from different sources.

BCAA's can also be consumed as food supplements, especially suggested around intense workouts or physical work.

BCAA XPRESS contains a 2:1:1 ratio of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine; and because it is in a powder-drink form, as a liquid, it can absorb faster than a tablet formula. Also, it can conveniently sipped during a workout.

Questions and answers

How many servings should one take a day? Can one take more than one serving a day? Would it be good?
20. July
I recommend 2-3 servings per day.

I tend to take my BCAA as soon as I wake up as I jog a little first thing in the morning [consumption is prior to jog]. After this jog I eat breakfast and an hour and a half later I'll be lifting weights. After gym I have my whey. Is the BCAA necessary when I'm taking it, or is it more beneficial just before my workout [seeing I would have eaten not long before?] or best after even though I have my whey and 45mins later I eat a big meal?

Cheers.

I suggest that you should use BCAA as intra-workout supplement! Consume the BCAA drink during training.

Hi Scitec!

I take BCAA Express before and during my workouts and Whey Professional after. I heard it's good to eat raisins together with the aminos. How much raisins in grams do you recommend and when?

Best regards R
2. August
Raisins? Raisins are full of sugars - dextrose and fructose. So eating raisins with aminos is similar to eating sugars with aminos. Consuming simple sugars right after training can have beneficial effect - reloading a glycogen stores! But this works with all kinds sugars not only with raisins.

How much water do I use per serving?
10. May
200 - 300 ml water per serving is OK.
